County finals results

Both our men's and ladies' teams did the club proud on Sunday in the District finals of the County League. The ladies won their semifinal against Potten End by three shots, while the men had a nailbiting match against Berkhamsted, resulting in a tie at the end of 18 ends when the shots of the two rinks were combined. No fewer than three extra ends were then played, before Tring emerged the winners. For both teams to progress to the final is a real achievement. Sadly both lost to strong teams, from Garston and Herts, but the players are to be congratulated on their success, especially as we were missing several regular players on the day.
